On a golden late afternoon at Buca 7, we designed an intimate dinner for a VIP guest at Masseria Torre Maizza (Rocco Forte Hotels). We needed a sober, elegant, but vibrant tablescape to match our client's refined taste for art: a brief that pushed us to be at our best.

The palette balanced restraint with personality: double Oriental lilies in soft pink and white, nodding clusters of Nectaroscordum in cream and burgundy blush, cascading sprays of yellow "ginestra", and soft pink pompom dahlias along the table, with a lush hand-tied bouquet of blush peonies rounding out the celebration. 

Slender glass bud vases in varying heights created an organic, unstudied rhythm down the table. Each stem was given room to be seen individually rather than lost in a mass arrangement. Tall tapered candles in mustard, cream, and ivory echoed the flowers' warmth and added quiet drama as the light faded over the olive groves.
